Noncombustible Gutter Retrofit Systems

Gutter systems often act as fire traps during wildfires—especially when filled with dry leaves or pine needles. Flying embers can land in this debris and ignite fires right along the roofline. Our retrofit package includes the installation of fire-rated gutter covers that prevent debris buildup while allowing water to flow efficiently during rainfall.

According to Barrett et al. (2024), noncombustible gutter guards significantly reduce the likelihood of roofline ignition in wildfire events. These upgrades are not just recommended—they’re required in many jurisdictions. The California Building Code (CBC 705A.4) and California Residential Code (CRC R337.5.4) mandate that gutters be designed to prevent debris accumulation and resist ignition. Our gutter systems meet or exceed these code requirements and form a key part of a comprehensive wildfire defense strategy.
